Yamaha FZ6 Motorcycles Trends

Yamaha FZ6 Motorcycles Trends
The Yamaha FZ6 is a 600 cc motorcycle that was introduced in 2004 as a sporting middleweight sport bike built around the 2003 YZF R6 engine. The engine is retuned for more usable midrange power. It comes with a somewhat soft suspension that makes it easy on beginners and very well suited for sport-touring, commuting, or just having fun on curvy mountain roads.

This bike is a popular choice for its half-fairing, upright seating position, and underseat exhaust. This motorcycle can easily handle sport riding, touring, and commuting. Many owners of these motorcycles modify them more to their specific style of riding. Some owners just leave them stock and enjoy the "all-rounder" capabilities.

For the 2010 model year, Yamaha continue to sell FZ6 Fazer S2 (Half-faired) and FZ6 S2 (naked) in Europe. Both are with full power (98 PS) and ABS. Reduced power models are discontinued and replaced with XJ6 Diversion (Half-faired) and XJ6 (naked); both with optional ABS.

The Suzuki GSX-R1000 has been around since 2001, replacing the venerable 1100 sportbike that couldn't quite match the performance of the sensational Yamaha R1 that was introduced in 1998. Ever since, the big Gixxer has been battling it out with the other Japanese literbikes for the outright performance crown. For 2009, the model gets evolutionary changes that are meant to eke that extra bit of speed out of the platform, which has shed a few pounds off the slightly porky model of the past few years.

For 2001, Suzuki introduced a new GSX-R model that replaced the largest and most powerful model of the GSX-R series sport bike, the GSX-R1100, with the all new GSX-R1000. As the model name revealed, the engine's cylinder displacement was roughly 100 cc (6.1 cu in) smaller than its predecessor's. The GSX-R1000 was not just an enlarged version of the GSX-R750, although it shared many features with its little brother. The main frame is the same in both models, but the material used on the big brother was .5 mm (0.020 in) thicker. Suzuki claimed the torsional rigidity of the frame had increased 10% in comparison with the GSX-R750.

Superbike World Motorcycle

Superbike World Motorcycle
The motorcycles raced in the championship are tuned versions of motorcycles available for sale to the public, by contrast with MotoGP where purpose built machines are used. Europe is Superbike World Championship's traditional centre and leading market. However, rounds are also held in Qatar, Australia, South Africa, and the United States (in 2008, for the first time since 2004). An Indonesian race was also proposed for the 2008 season, but this was later canceled by the FIM.

The Superbike World Championship began in 1988, being open to modified versions of road bike models available to the public. For many years, the formula allowed for machines with 1000 cc V-twin engines (principally Ducati, but later Aprilia and Honda) to go up against the 750 cc four-cylinder engines (Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki and Suzuki). For the first few seasons Honda won with the RC30, but gradually the twins got the upper hand. Using 1000 cc V-twin engines benefited Ducati and it was able to dominate the championship for many years. From 1993 to 1999 Carl Fogarty and Ducati dominated, Fogarty won the title a record 4 times and finished as runner-up twice on factory Ducatis. Troy Corser also won the 1996 title and finished as runner-up in 1995, both times on a Ducati. Carl Fogarty has won the Superbike World Championship a record 4 times with Ducati

Realizing that 1000 cc V-twin engines suited the superbike racing formula more, Honda introduced its own V-Twin powered motorcycle the VTR1000/RC51 in 2000. The result was clear right away as Colin Edwards won the championship in the bike's first year of competition. Ducati regained the title in 2001 with Troy Bayliss.

The Daytona Motorcycles

The Daytona Motorcycles
The Daytona name is the stuff of legends for Triumph Motorcycles and not used lightly. The subtle, discreet logo on the Daytona 600’s purposeful bodywork reinforces just what this new bike is about; power, poise and complete control. Fully aware of its lineage Triumph has honed the Daytona 600 into a package that provides complete rider involvement. Also, impressed with the need for individuality, the Daytona 600 is a machine that not only looks very different but is also built with a level of care and attention to detail that ensures a great deal of owner satisfaction.

This historic victory comes 28 years after a Triumph motorcycle last took a win at the TT. It not only proves the Daytona 600’s overall performance but also proves emphatically that there is now another choice for any motorcyclist considering a sports 600. The Daytona 600 is a rare mixture blending technology, know-how, performance, ability and sheer beauty in one very compact and useable package.
